    Principal's Message

Hello everyone! As the principal, I am thrilled to connect with you through this newsletter. Our school is dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where every student can thrive. We believe in fostering not just academic excellence but also the personal growth and well-being of each child. This newsletter is one of the ways we aim to strengthen our home-school partnership, ensuring you are always informed about what’s happening in our vibrant school community.

We have had an incredibly busy and productive term so far. Our students have been engaged in a variety of enriching activities, from innovative classroom projects to exciting extracurricular events. I am continually impressed by their enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment to learning. Our teachers are working tirelessly to create engaging and challenging learning experiences, and I am deeply grateful for their dedication and passion.

One of the highlights this term has been our focus on literacy. We launched a school-wide reading initiative aimed at fostering a love of reading among our students. The students have been enthusiastically participating in various reading challenges, book clubs, and author visits. It’s wonderful to see so many children excited about books! Furthermore, we are committed to providing additional support for students who may be struggling with reading. We have implemented targeted interventions and small group instruction to ensure that every child receives the support they need to succeed.

Another area of focus has been promoting student well-being. We understand that a child's emotional and social well-being is just as important as their academic progress. To this end, we have implemented several programs aimed at teaching students about resilience, empathy, and positive relationships. We have also trained our staff in strategies to support students who may be experiencing difficulties. Our goal is to create a safe and supportive school environment where every child feels valued and respected.

Looking ahead, we have many exciting events planned for the remainder of the term. These include our annual sports day, the school play, and a variety of cultural celebrations. We encourage you to check the school calendar for dates and details. We would love for you to join us at these events and celebrate the achievements of our students.

Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership. Together, we can ensure that Itamworth Public School continues to be a place where every child can reach their full potential.

This month, we’re shining a light on one of our most dedicated teachers, Ms. Emily Carter! Ms. Carter has been teaching at Itamworth Public School for over 10 years and has made a significant impact on the lives of countless students. Her passion for teaching and her commitment to her students are truly inspiring. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a talented and caring educator on our team. Recognizing and celebrating the contributions of our teachers is essential to fostering a positive and supportive school environment.

Ms. Carter teaches Grade 2 and is known for her engaging and creative teaching methods. She has a knack for making learning fun and exciting for her students. She uses a variety of hands-on activities, games, and technology to help her students grasp new concepts. Her classroom is always buzzing with energy and enthusiasm. One of Ms. Carter’s most popular activities is her weekly science experiments. She believes that science is best learned through exploration and discovery. Her students have built volcanoes, created slime, and launched rockets. These experiments not only teach them about science concepts but also foster their curiosity and problem-solving skills.

Ms. Carter is also a strong advocate for literacy. She believes that reading is the foundation for all learning. She has created a reading corner in her classroom filled with a variety of books. She encourages her students to read every day and provides them with opportunities to share their favorite books with the class. She also organizes regular author visits to inspire her students to write their own stories.

Beyond her teaching responsibilities, Ms. Carter is actively involved in the school community. She is the advisor for the school’s gardening club and the coach of the school’s debate team.
